Optimising Roon Audio Setting for Giesemann 10M OCXO Master Clock

We would like to share some software tweak for Roon's users time to time. This can optimise the Giesemann 10M OCXO Master Clock to the optimal levels with Roon software. 

 

As we can see the setting in Roon under Audio. There is Clock master priority from range 1 to 10. If user is using Giesemann Master Clock to EtherREGEN, or Mutec MC-3 + USB.

 

This optimal setting will be 7 for Giesemann Master Clock user. We are quite confident, after changed this setting, you will be amazed with this little tweak in Roon setting. 

 

This setting will give you the most enjoyable presentation, when playing range of music, including Jazz, vocal and classical. 

 

Every Giesemann customer, please feel free to share the feeling of this tweak.

I was under the impression that Clock Mater Priority only impacted grouped zones.  

 

From Roon Support: The “Clock Master Priority” setting controls how the device behaves when it is in a grouped zone with other devices.  

 

It's a simple adjustment and will experiment in the spirit of curiosity..  Thx

In Roon where we set the DSP setting, there is some setting which are more preferable and sound more details with different kind of music. 

 

The section on sample rate conversion filter: There is two choices which has different favourites. 

 

The minimum phase : This will give you more natural on classical, piano and strings. 

 

The linear phase : This is more dynamic on music, preferable on Pop and R&B music.

oh gosh, I avoid Roon's DSP at all costs (even clipping on modern overly compressed music). The destruction of fidelity using Roon's DSP is profound in my system. Obviously your mileage does vary on this one.
