What is fiber optical sensor?

The top of the figure below is a conceptual diagram when used for optical communication. By turning on / off the laser beam incident on the optical fiber at high speed, a "0, 1" signal is sent to perform digital communication.

 

In contrast, optical fiber sensors use optical fiber in an analog manner. Physical disturbances (expansion / contraction, temperature, bending, etc.) acting on the optical fiber cause modulation components such as phase change, wavelength change, and refractive index change in the light itself transmitted through the optical fiber. ..

 

Observe these modulation components with transmitted or reflected light. There are various principles and optical devices, but basically this is the case.

I’m confused why you have to purchase RJ45 SFP Optical Fiber Convertor as well. Can you explain please?

 

Actually, why not only sell the Carbon Fiber Clip for SFP Connector?

The RJ45 SFP Convertor is FREE with the package for plug and play when receivedot 

 

The Carbon Fiber Clip is tailor made and design for the Corning Fiber Connector only. There is some speical features called "Tight-Buffered" at the SFP connector makes the Carbon Fiber Clips works together. So, we do not planned to sell the Carbon Fiber Clip to avoid damage on other connectors.

Has anyone purchased this package? Did it include 2 SFP’S? There used to be an option to purchase just the cable. This is what I would like to do since I already purchased the Finisar SFP Modules in the original offering from AD.

I did PM him; I didn’t get a resolving answer. It seemed like he was saying that the SFP’s are better but based on the pictures in both offerings they seem the same. Unless he is doing something different. There used to be an option to purchase just the cable but that is no longer there. I already have the same SFP’s with the commscope cable.

Thanks for your message. This cable is upgraded version with Corning Single Mode Fiber with Carbon Fiber sleve. The mid range is much better when compared with Commscope Fiber Cable.

The APC is stand for Angle Polish Connector. We are using the Corning APC which has below Features:

• These connectors utilize tightly toleranced, pre-angled zirconia ferrules to ensure consistently low loss. 
• Low-Back Reflection
• SC APC connector is polished with an 8-degree angle, in green color connector 

• APC connectors are superior to UPC connectors in this performance category because of their angle-polished endface geometry. The value of return loss for mated APC connectors in the field will typically be greater than -65 dB. For a UPC connection, it is normally -55 dB.
