hardcharger
I've tried searching this forum, but haven't had any success finding a solution. If this has already been answered, I'd appreciate if someone could point me to that post. I'm having a problem with a Boss DAC on RPi3b+ running PiCorePlayer (originally v7 and now v8). I have it all installed in the Allo aluminum case using a Nirvana SMPS. When I first seat the DAC and power everything up, it is recognized just fine and SqueezeLite starts fine. If the power is cut (unplugged) and then connected again, Squeezelite doesn't start. I have to pull the whole thing apart again and reseat the DAC. I have "Allo Boss DAC (and MiniBoss)" selected as the Audio Output in the SqueezeLite settings. This configures the Output setting to "hw:CARD=BossDAC". The ALSA Setting is "8,4,<blank>,1,<blank>". When it boots and fails to find the Boss DAC, under Diagnostics I see this for SqueezeLite Output Devices: Output devices: null - Discard all samples (playback) or generate zero samples (capture) default plugequal equal I see these entries in dmesg: [ 9.980697] snd-allo-boss-dac soc:sound: snd_soc_register_card() failed: -517 [ 9.984154] snd-allo-boss-dac soc:sound: snd_soc_register_card() failed: -517 [ 10.027651] pcm512x 1-004d: supply AVDD not found, using dummy regulator [ 10.027832] pcm512x 1-004d: supply DVDD not found, using dummy regulator [ 10.027905] pcm512x 1-004d: supply CPVDD not found, using dummy regulator [ 10.028310] pcm512x 1-004d: Failed to reset device: -121 [ 10.028445] snd-allo-boss-dac soc:sound: snd_soc_register_card() failed: -517 [ 10.029463] snd-allo-boss-dac soc:sound: snd_soc_register_card() failed: -517 [ 10.033185] pcm512x: probe of 1-004d failed with error -121 I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction to get this sorted out. maciej124
Hi, I am having the same issue with my Allo Boss DAC v1.2 (without USB-C port), the same results in dmesg output. @Audio_Allo could you please share possible solution? Thanks! Link to comment
