A lifetime license for Roon costs $700 bucks now, and if you add HQPlayer on top of that it's another $260. With Tax, you're at or over $1000 USD. Thats the price you pay for software if you don't want a subscription. Developers have to eat too, and I think these prices are lower than they could be.

 

$70 a year is an absolute bargain. It's $5.83 a month.

I do not own a Chord DAVE or a Blu Mk II, but I do use HQPlayer with Roon, and I upsample, and I find that HQPlayer substantially increases the sound quality to the point I can't even listen to Roon by itself anymore.

Integer mode works over UPnP from my M1 mini to a Pi4. Audirvana says it does, I guess I should qualify that statement.

What software do I load on my small computer to act as the DLNA receiver? I thought it would be simple to google the answer but I can't  find a clear answer. I can load Windows 10 on the Atom but that seems like way overboard for such a simple function and think I prefer a Linux solution for simplicities sake. I'm happy with my current setup but as always, curious to try what many say is a better player.

Audirvana finished analyzing my local music files and nothing changed.

 

ON the left is my music backup on my ZFS based server. on the right is the USB drive connected to my Mini that AS "analyzed." It says there are no differences from before the local disk was analyzed.
