Is anyone using this case for their Pi4?

Recommended Posts

Currently, I am using the plastic case, and fan in slow mode, that came with the Canakit starter pro Pi4 kit I bought from Microcenter. I have no complaints about the temps, I can't hear the fan and even as I type this I can't think if a reason other than looks that I am even interested in this case, but...

Has anyone used, or is using, this case from Akasa and have anything about it they would share?

Not that one, but a different aluminium case with passive cooling. It works fine and looks nice. I bought it for looks.

Main listening (small home office):

Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments.

Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three .

Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup.
Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare.

All absolute statements about audio are false :)

FYI - the weight of each case makes a (significant) difference due to vibration control, here's one @ 785g

Although it is our policy not to mention anything about sound quality, the difference from a normal aluminium case is so huge!
