Popular Post Iving
There are a couple of versions of Nina Simone performing “Chilly Winds Don’t Blow” in my Library. The first is unambiguously Blues, even if on the smooth Jazz side of things. It's from the 1964/5 Album "Pastel Blues". The version I much prefer on every level I’ve got tagged as COLPIX CP 116 [USA] (B Side) from 1959. from the Album "Pastel Blues" (1964/5) COLPIX (1959) cambridgehank, semente and christopher3393 1 2 Link to comment

Popular Post sphinxsix
Evolution of the blues. Catfish Blues to be exact. Which dates back to 1920s Mississippi. Yeah, this is based on 'Catfish Blues': There is neither Hendrix 'CB' version from his 'Blues' album nor 15 min long 'Vodoo Chile' on mighty Youtube.. I'm very surprised.. ..hence 5 live versions of the former song: ..and this (both songs based on 'CB'): 2010's Iving and christopher3393 1 1 Link to comment
