What's the difference in sound you get from lifting the cable box?

Mine are just sitting on the floor - both box and cable itself.

I previously owned MIT Oracle speaker cables with the heavy metal boxes.  These most certainly benefitted from sitting on Stillpoints. Vibration degrade their performance a bit;

I now own MIT cables with plastic boxes.  Stillpoints didn’t make sense under these as they are too light.  Instead I’m just using some of the original Shunyata Dark Field elevators.  These do make a very subtle difference that doesn’t really show up until you remove them as the sound slightly flattens.  That’s a Herbie’s stabilizer disc sitting on the box.  I didn’t listen to the difference these made as I just happened to have a pair of these around and thought they might help to drain off vibration.

I hope the seller isn’t too upset that we are commenting in his for sale thread.  I will say though that I suspect the cables he’s selling are spectacular.  There’s a review out there that speaks very highly of them.  They have the same number of poles as my speaker cables but are from a more recent series.
