No blind taste testing required :~)

When I have a minute I will tell about a friend of mine who actually not only did that but also was good at that :)

Yeah a friend of mine who run a tea house did 'blind' test teas. He was very good at that - he usually without a mistake could say which one of a couple of dozens of teas that were served there he was drinking without his prior knowledge of the tea brand. BTW he once also proved that tea can be almost as dangerous as alcohol and after a long night with lots of strong tea almost lost his consciousness and fell of the stairs..

So beware tea lovers, don't overdose! x-D

Back to audio and tea - did someone check if an electric kettles cables matters.? ;)

The moment I moved to the city I live in now, 2 years ago, I found myself a new hobby (not as dangerous as audio though 9_9) - I began buying some tea stuff every now and then.

And last but not least..

I believe that mentioning teas like oolong (sometimes called red tea) or lapsang souchong (smoked tea) makes no sense here (?)

Anyway, if someone doesn't know them and would like to try something different from just a plain black or green tea..

I learned about tea leaf grading system and terms like 'Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe' (high end among teas) 30 years ago but I suspect for some this might be something new and interesting.

One more thing - Japanese tea ceremony (don't try to do it by yourselves when you are in Japan, everything here is supposed to be done in a very specific way, a friend of mine did try and the Japanese almost killed him x-D)

Sensei Sobin Koizumi - Japanese Tea Ceremony Master.

What's the tea lovers equivalent of 'cheers'.? :)

I was in Harrod's once about 20 years ago. Still haven't gotten over the out of season berries that were selling for 10GBP per 100 grams. And the pound was equal to $2 then....

On the other hand, they probably have some clientele who don't check prices.

Yeah, t-shirts for $250 etc.. As for this set - it's only for high end tea, which I don't even share with anybody - that's why it's a single cup set ;)

Tomasz Stanko tried everything from marijuana to heroin and in his late years he chose tea as his personal no 1..
