He was very good at that - he usually without a mistake could say which one of a couple of dozens of teas that were served there he was drinking without his prior knowledge of the tea brand. BTW he once also proved that tea can be almost as dangerous as alcohol and after a long night with lots of strong tea almost lost his consciousness and fell of the stairs.. So beware tea lovers, don't overdose! Back to audio and tea - did someone check if an electric kettles cables matters.? Link to comment

sphinxsix
The moment I moved to the city I live in now, 2 years ago, I found myself a new hobby (not as dangerous as audio though ) - I began buying some tea stuff every now and then. And last but not least.. Link to comment

sphinxsix
I believe that mentioning teas like oolong (sometimes called red tea) or lapsang souchong (smoked tea) makes no sense here (?) Anyway, if someone doesn't know them and would like to try something different from just a plain black or green tea.. I learned about tea leaf grading system and terms like 'Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe' (high end among teas) 30 years ago but I suspect for some this might be something new and interesting. One more thing - Japanese tea ceremony (don't try to do it by yourselves when you are in Japan, everything here is supposed to be done in a very specific way, a friend of mine did try and the Japanese almost killed him ) Sensei Sobin Koizumi - Japanese Tea Ceremony Master. What's the tea lovers equivalent of 'cheers'.? Link to comment

Still haven't gotten over the out of season berries that were selling for 10GBP per 100 grams. And the pound was equal to $2 then.... On the other hand, they probably have some clientele who don't check prices. Yeah, t-shirts for $250 etc.. As for this set - it's only for high end tea, which I don't even share with anybody - that's why it's a single cup set Link to comment

sphinxsix
Lao cha means aged tea. E.g. Pu-erh tea (a very original taste and aroma, definitely not to everyone's taste): https://yunnansourcing.com/products/jinggu-aged-purple-lao-cha-tou-ripe-pu-erh-tea The Computer Audiophile 1 Link to comment

Thx for the suggestion, never tried this combination. I didn't even know about the possibility of drinking chrysanthemum. BTW meanwhile my collection grew by one more single teapot (actually made by a coffee company, nothing special): Jerrylovestea, Jerrylovestea and -1 others 1 1 Link to comment
