Popular Post The Computer Audiophile
Hi guys, what do you think? Version 1.8 is a big change that's for sure. I like it overall, but I have two main issues. 1. I don't like buttons without tool tips or text that says what they do. I call it click around and find out. We have too many apps in our lives that we're required to have an internal Rosetta Stone that translates all the unidentified buttons in our lives. Not a fan. 2. Credits are my least favorite part of version 1.8. Look up Kind of Blue and try to find who the Remastering engineers are. Sure, there's a search, but it's not a pleasant experience, especially if you just want to look through the credits. On my Apple Pro XDR Display, it takes three pages to see all the credits. A text list would be so much better. happybob and ShawnC 1 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

firedog
Impressions: 1. It looks nice. 2. Finding Classical works is much improved. 3. None of my bookmarked focus groups play. I can't seem to make new ones that work. Get an error message that the tracks are "unplayable". 4. The Home page has way too much info and I'm not very interested in most of it. They need to have an option to hide sections you aren't interested in. 5. Agree with Chris that it's too much guessing to "figure out" what stuff is. Yes, have pop up explanations. 6. I activated the option for my albums to show the "Qobuz" and "Library" symbols. But on several on the views - say after a search- when you press on the "more" button to see all the results, the symbols disappear. I don't like that. I want to see which albums are mine and which are from Qobuz. Popular Post The Computer Audiophile
I really don't like the Recent Listening and stats area about what I've been listening to. Yes, this says more about me than Roon, but I'd love to disable it. I just want to listen without metrics. fheller, SwissBear, AudioDoctor and 1 other 4 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

Supposed to make you feel satisfaction, guilt, just what? Waste of space. So far I'm seeing nothing much but lipstick, and I'm 50/50 on it. I guess anything 'revolutionary' will have to wait for 2.0. I would love to see scrolling windows within the main windows, so less of this 'view all' (now relabeled 'more') action needed that takes one to a new screen, and then having to click back again. A top level button for a metadata editor popup. It's really the same old structure with fancier fonts. The ability to stick the main menu open or not should have been there since 1.1. And present me with an entire book of Pantone colors and I almost guarantee you I wouldn't have chosen an off purple and orange to highlight areas. Filter on the Overview page should filter your entire library and not just the added/played selection. The good is that it upgraded with none of the issues I've had over the last several and plays and sounds great as ever. skatbelt and The Computer Audiophile 2 SERVER CLOSET (in office directly below living room stereo):NUC 7i5BNH with Roon ROCK (ZeroZone 12V on the NUC)>Cisco 2690L-16PS switch>Sonore opticalModule (Uptone LPS 1.2)> LIVING ROOM: Sonore opticalRendu Roon version (Sonore Power Supply)> Shunyata Venom USB>Naim DAC V1>Witchhat DIN>Naim NAP 160 Bolt Down>Chord Rumor 2>Audio Physic Compact Classics.
