Marcin_gps
Hi Guys, AudioLinux uses latest kernel and there are no issues there. Euphony for now does not work - it will work with an update. Željko, Euphony developer, informed me the patch which will fix the issue won't be available for at least several months. Best regards, Marcin JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment

There is no issue with Euphony and NET or NET XE card. The issue is only with Euphony & USB XE JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment

If I use Euphony, the Netcard XE works but the USB XE doesn’t, as you mentioned. If I switch to AudioLinux, neither card works. Colin Hmm, then it seems sth specific to AudioLinux. Please let me know if you want me to contact Piero or would you perfer to do it directly? JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment

Popular Post Marcin_gps
Please see the reply from Željko, Euphony developer: Quote No, we did not try to patch our current kernel. We are focusing our efforts on releasing a new Euphony major version with much recent kernel where we hope to find the necessary patches already included. We will use 5.10+ kernel which is fairly recent and hope that this will solve the problem. When we have a stable enough beta of Euphony v4 we may try to contact someone who is willing to try it with USB XE. Popular Post Marcin_gps
Hi Guys, I sent a board of USB XE to Euphony developer and I have some good news to share: Quote we preliminary checked how XE card works with our software. It looks that both current version (now in production) and future version (we develop) accept and work with current JCAT USB card XE We would still make addtional checks if you perimt, before we send you card back. Let us know if this is ok with you. With best regards, Robert euphony-audio.com Regards, Marcin NanoSword and 87mpi 2 JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment

Any kind of patch can be smartly made ? I have been trying to set up my newly acquired SMSL VMV D1se DAC with my JCAT USB XE for the last two days until i saw this post. I had no luck getting the asmedia usb 3.1 controller to recognize the DAC. But the DAC works very smoothly with motherboard's USB 3.1 controller though. The DAC has only 7-day return policy, i can't even test the unit with much more preferred JCAT USB XE now. Hi Larry, Can you please check if USB memory stick is detected when inserted to USB card's port? If not then I'd check if 5V PSU connected to the card is OK. I’m troubleshooting an issue with a JCAT USB XE and AudioLinux with Piero but waiting on him to be available to pick back up. Figured I’d put out a call out here for ideas on why the card is not being seen by AudioLinux. Tried two different PCIe ports Verified the card is being fed 5.15v I plug my mouse and into the USB XE and nothing happens. I run lsusb and lscpi and the card is not seen. Any ideas? MB: Aorus z690 Master AudioLinux: LXQt 5.3.0 HDPLEX 300W 5v output I will get in touch with Piero. If he agrees, I will ship the USB XE. Regards, Marcin JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment
Marcin_gps
But, from what I see, you have the Z690 chipset. I would try upgrading the firmware on the card. However, you will need a motherboard with a chipset different than Z690/Z590. Please let me know if you can find a way to do it. You can PM me too if you'd like. Marcin_gps
@oneguy NET Card XE does not have this issue. Only USB XE needs firmware update for Z590/Z690. I will let you know what Piero says. Regards, Marcin JPLAY & JCAT Founder Link to comment

Marcin_gps
@oneguy I believe he does not have a Z690/Z690, so it's only for testing compatibility in general. However, if you do not have access to a PC where you can perform firmware update I can send you a flashed card. Please send me a PM and we can discuss details.
