Clicks and Pops after Volumio Update

I recently updated Volumio to version 2.861 and this has caused clicks and pops to appear when playing files from my NAS. This does not happen when playing files from a USB drive or when streaming TIDAL.

 

The system includes a Allo USBridge Signature feeding a RME ADI-2 FS DAC vis USB. The NAS is a QNAP TS-231K 2 bay with two Seagate IronWolf 4TB drives configured in a RAID1.

 

This issue was not present prior to updating Volumio.

 

I found the information below on a Volumio Forum and have tried it but it did not fix the problem.

 

Pops and crackle in the sound can often be fixed by adding dwc_otg.fiq_split_enable=0 to /boot/cmdline.txt. Just add it to the line that doesn’t start with a # and reboot. Verify that the parameter took effect by looking for “dwc_otg: FIQ split fix disabled” in the kernel boot log.

UPDATE: I downgraded to version 2.799 and the problem is fixed.
