Confused
As a personal prefererence I like BBC 6 music. To quote the BBC: BBC Radio 6 Music brings together the cutting edge music of today, the iconic and groundbreaking music of the past 40 years and unlimited access to the BBC's wonderful music archive. They do play a rather weird and wonderful selection of music, not much in the way of jazz though..... In the UK it is available as a 320kbs stream, although I am not sure what you get via Tunein? Over on another forum, there was a snap poll of internet radio stations, and Radio Paradise was the clear favourite there. Curiously, the first time I tried Radio Paradise, they were playing the Cure, which is something you might expect to hear on BBC 6 Music. Further listening revealed that Radio Paradise and 6 Music are very different beasts, which I think nicely backs up the comments in the OP about extended listening being required.
