Just use SFP modules on both sides, as SFP(+) NICa are generally compatible with SFP modules ... ore use a dual 10g/1g SFP(+) module e.g. Finisar, just be sure they are both either SX (multimode) or LX (singlemode) and you use either a multimode or singlemode cable.
