MicroRendu 1.4 vs 1.5

Aloha,

 

To my understanding, the 1.4 has a better clock, but the new 1.5 has a number of other improvements including the OpticalRendu’s buffer.  Setting all technical theory aside, has anyone done an A/B listening test to compare the two versions? Small Green Computers claims the 1.5 is overall better.  Curious what the consigliere here has experienced.

Sonore could discontinued the ultraRendu and add a better clock to the 1.5.

Thanks for all the advice. I was debating to buy the new 1.5 for $399 or a used 1.4 on the forums for $250.  Your input guided me to get the 1.4 and it’s on its way. I have an Sbooster for it.
