External DAC needed for the Digione signature player

If I understand correctly, an external dac ampli is needed for the https://www.allo.com/sparky-eu/digione-signature-player.html while this is not the case using the https://www.allo.com/sparky-eu/miniboss-player-plus.html

 

Is the sound quality of the Digione better than Miniboss ?

Any recommendation about an external DAC ampli ?
