My research indicates many more clocks available with more common 50 ohm connections, but perhaps even more important, there are many more options for fantastic clock cabling (via Pasternack) at 50 ohm without having to go to insanely priced "audiophile" options.

I recommend Geistnote for digital cables. I don't see 50 Ω though as Geistnote  targets the pro audio market which is almost exclusively 75 Ω spdif or 110 Ω AES/EBU

I think We need a new standard in transferring digital signals between audio equipment.
And this should include clock signals by fiber.

What I don’t know if is the available electronics won’t introduce more phase noise than the use of a good 50 ohm sine cable.

So there is another challenge @barrows to investigate 😀

Maybe @JohnSwenson has some thoughts ?

My guess is it depends on the distance. If you already have a sine wave, a short distance cable (say less than six feet) will probably be better than any other active system you can use. Above 50 feet the optical will probably be better. The in between is where it gets interesting.
