But I have no idea about CAPS gear, I'm just running ROCK on a NUC. That said, whenever I update Roon or if my NUC is powered down, I have to totally reset the database from a backup or the rotes won't find it. IMO Roon isn't quite as plug and play as they like to make it out to be. Hmm, do you mean restore the database from a backup? My 65,000 plus tracks library takes about half hour at most to restore from a USB drive plugged into my NUC 7i5. Or do you mean re-analyse? I'm assuming nobody can listen to all of their (local) library at once (physically impossible) so why one needs all of their (local) tracks to be analyzed from the get go I never understood.
