I also have Isao Suzuki's Black Orpheus on 24k, well worth finding. I like all the Sunao Wada albums, consistently good. And the George Otsuka 5 "Go On" if you can find it. I have most but not all of the catalog. I tend to like the earlier numbered titles so if you like the ones you have, look for the TBM catalog numbers before and after and it's a sure bet. Popular Post PeterG
Whoa! Even after enjoying the previously mentioned discs and reading this thread, I did appreciate quite how good the sound quality would be on Midnight Sugar and Blow Up (they both arrived a couple of days ago). Listening this morning for the first time, the sense of being there is among the very best of heard--in the same league as, or maybe better than, Pawn Shop or Muddy Waters's Blues Singer. My dog's reaction was even stronger--for real. She's heard a lot of music, and this morning we started with Midnight Sugar, and got her usual non-reaction, both of us sitting on the couch, a suboptimal 7' in front of the right speaker. Then I started Blow Up (24K CD ripped to server), and BANG! Her head was on a swivel and her body tensed for the first 3 minutes. until she was sure there was not another presence in the house. It's sad that this natural style of recording is lost on virtually all American producers DuckToller, The Computer Audiophile, Brian H and 1 other 2 2 Link to comment

bbosler
I hear a very low level of what sounds like somebody talking in the background on the first cut. Is he doing a Keith Jarrett and mumbling or am I hearing things? see my system at Audiogon https://systems.audiogon.com/systems/768 Link to comment

Today received another TBM Masterpiece, need to find out how to drop resolution so i can upload pic....LOL! Just need to say i needed approval to get to where i am today!!!! You need two things. I already bought number 23 before based on a suggestion from Chis in another article this year, and that sounds great. So no I will have to add missing disk's to the collection.... Juanra74
Hello everyone! I'm new here. I came up because I'm a huge fan of TBM, of course;) I bought a few CD and LP, but is very difficult (expensive) to ship and pay taxes for Europe. When I've tried to discover new TBM music, I only found it on Youtube, not on Tidal or Qobuz... Does anyone knows any Japanese streaming service where I can discover new (old) TBM recordings? Or maybe some online store to buy FLAC flies...? Thanks for all! Link to comment

I'm not aware of any streaming sources for these albums nor of any places where they can be downloaded. They are certainly not available from places like Mora and e-onkyo. For example, the only Tsuyoshi Yamamoto albums available on these services are the albums he made for other labels such as Venus. Given that Sony is a business out to make money, I would’ve guessed these albums would be for sale and stream long ago. David Chesky is also a fan of TBM, and I’ve asked/urged him to obtain the downloads for sale a few times over the years.
