You are really welcome! BTW I've just began thinking quite seriously about the fact that as for art I'm mostly an objectivist and OTOH with audio gear I'm in the subjectivist camp.., cars - no way - i am a subjectivist (handling!), women - also, does the other possibility exist at all (?!) What about you guys (inclusions of other fields are welome!)? Link to comment

To me, the objectivist part is, for example, the artist's place in history, artistic movement, styles over time, etc. But when looking at art, all of that can fall away and it becomes just pure perception. Same here - a personal perception of art is something different from judging it which IMO at least to some degree can be done (well..quite ) objectively. I actually had mixed these two things in my previous post..😕 Thanks for pointing to it! Bill Brown and PYP 2 Link to comment

One male, one female. It could be from any time or any genre. Doesn't have to be an audiophile quality recording. It’s impossible to say best (of course) with so many excellent singers with great voices and different music genres. Anyway here are some of my favourites: Male - Johnny Cash Female - Ella Fitzgerald Vocal instrumentalists - Bobby McFerrin Raspy voice - Tom Waits Sensual voice - Sade Audiophile Neuroscience 1 Link to comment
Confused
I have a general observation. In the UK, the more highbrow the art form, the more likely it is to receive, and indeed require, government funding. The lowbrow stuff tends to fund itself, quite handsomely too in some areas. But I thought about the best 'raspy voice', and I think it has to be Howlin' Wolf for me. Although Captain Beefhart does rasp with best. He was odd but Andy Warhol and now Banksy really are taking it to a whole 'nother level. If you saw some of Picasso's pencil sketches, which are just so beautiful and almost life-like, one would not be so quick to judge. Then there is the play ' Picasso at the Lapin Argile' by Steve Martin - it is hysterical. sphinxsix 1 Current: Daphile on an AMD A10-9500 with 16 GB RAM DAC - TEAC UD-501 DAC Pre-amp - Rotel RC-1590 Amplification - Benchmark AHB2 amplifier Speakers - Revel M126Be with 2 REL 7/ti subwoofers Cables - Tara Labs RSC Reference and Blue Jean Cable Balanced Interconnects Link to comment

Popular Post sphinxsix
In case of this more contemporary one a rear spoiler was IMO an optical must, after adding it the car looked pretty cool, IMHO looking better from the back and the side than from the front though. Its interior looked interesting too (this photo shows some non-standard elements). And it handled (and sounded) really good DuckToller and lucretius 2 Link to comment
