botrytis
It is interesting that ARC has kept one of every piece of kit they ever made. It is quite an amazing feat and probably takes a mass amount of room to boot. There is over $1,000,000 worth of parts sitting in the factory just incase an old unit breaks. ARC takes good care of its customers. Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

I asked some advice on my ARC SP-16, I wasn't the original owner but that didn't matter to them. They still gave me the information. daverich4
What an odd experience trying to preorder the book. It takes all of your contact information and when it has it ends with a message that says “You did a very good job filling out the forms”. Didn’t ask for a credit card, didn’t give an estimated ETA, no reference number, nothing. 🤷🏼♂️ Link to comment

The individual “pop up” questions such as address, then zip code, etc... are so annoying. Using tech just for tech’s sake is dumb. A simple form and possibly some text that says what’s going on would’ve been wonderful. daverich4 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
Audiophile Neuroscience
I have owned a number of ARC products over the years and enjoyed every one. The company has dabbled with transistors since the 1970s . Interesting what ARC says about the place of tubes in modern playback accuracy Why ARC uses tubes Sound Minds Mind Sound Link to comment

daverich4
Just got my invoice for this so apparently it’s about to ship. But, $30 for shipping? That seems a little excessive. Link to comment

That seems a little excessive. I hear ya. Back in 2000 I had bought, Eric Clapton The Autobiography, hardcover book. After reading it, I sent it to my sister across the U.S. The post office charged me $19 for shipping. I had already put a letter, a check and time spent wrapping the book together, so I reluctantly paid the price. Never again. She could have bought the book for that price back then. BTW it's a great read. If you like Clapton you'll also want to read Pattie Boyd's book, Wonderful Today. It's her life story with George Harrison, Eric Clapton, The Stones, etc.. I think no other woman alive has had as many songs written about her. It's truly amazing.
