It is interesting that ARC has kept one of every piece of kit they ever made. It is quite an amazing feat and probably takes a mass amount of room to boot.

Current:  Daphile on an AMD A10-9500 with 16 GB RAM

DAC - TEAC UD-501 DAC

Pre-amp - Rotel RC-1590

Amplification - Benchmark AHB2 amplifier

Speakers - Revel M126Be with 2 REL 7/ti subwoofers

Cables - Tara Labs RSC Reference and Blue Jean Cable Balanced Interconnects

Agree.

You should see the company's stock of parts for nearly every component it has ever sold. There is over $1,000,000 worth of parts sitting in the factory just incase an old unit breaks. ARC takes good care of its customers.

I haven't seen it but I talked to the ARC reps about it. Very cool indeed.

I asked some advice on my ARC SP-16, I wasn't the original owner but that didn't matter to them. They still gave me the information.

What an odd experience trying to preorder the book. It takes all of your contact information and when it has it ends with a message that says “You did a very good job filling out the forms”. Didn’t ask for a credit card, didn’t give an estimated ETA, no reference number, nothing. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Agree.

The company ARC uses for this is also outsmarting itself. The individual “pop up” questions such as address, then zip code, etc... are so annoying. Using tech just for tech’s sake is dumb.

A simple form and possibly some text that says what’s going on would’ve been wonderful.

Having images cross from one page to another is not a layout I fancy for quality images.

Just got my invoice for this so apparently it’s about to ship. But, $30 for shipping? That seems a little excessive.

I hear ya.  Back in 2000 I had bought, Eric Clapton The Autobiography, hardcover book.  After reading it, I sent it to my sister across the U.S.  The post office charged me $19 for shipping.  I had already put a letter, a check and time spent wrapping the book together, so I reluctantly paid the price.  Never again.  She could have bought the book for that price back then.

BTW it's a great read.  If you like Clapton you'll also want to read Pattie Boyd's book, Wonderful Today.  It's her life story with George Harrison, Eric Clapton, The Stones,  etc..  I think no other woman alive has had as many songs written about her.  It's truly amazing.

Computer setup - Roon/Qobuz - PS Audio P5 Regenerator - HIFI Rose 250A Streamer - Emotiva XPA-2 Harbeth P3ESR XD - Rel  R-528 Sub

Comfy Chair - Schitt Jotunheim - Meze Audio Empyrean w/Mitch Barnett's Accurate Sound FilterSet
