il Carletto
Hi, I'm running my new Sig as HQP Naa. Only PCM files, at 705/768 on a Rme Adi-2 dac. I had the previous Usbridge, wich used to work perfectly. Same setting on HQP. The new one is very noisy instead, a lot of cracks and clicks. I tried many versions of Dietpi, including 6.31.2 with the "famous" 0.1.4 ethernet driver. No success. I also tried to force the ethernet speed at 100, instead gigabit. Less click, but I didn't solve the issue. I've also switched Usbridge to "performance" cpu setting. Any hint? Thanks in advance C. Link to comment
Zauurx
HI, same problem with same DAC and NAA.. it's not a Dac problem but (i thing) an error of Allo choice : USB2 chips error that handles Ethernet and audio. See my post here : Try only 384... ROON + HQP / Hdplex H3-i5 + 400ATX >Gustard A26 (NAA twk) > SQM > Benchmark AHB2 / Recital Audio Illumine HEFA Link to comment
il Carletto
I did it. Unfortunately clicks don't disappear. I'm very disappointed because the old Usbridge works very well at 768. I was confident of an improvement with the Signature. Using Sig as Roon endpoint (no HQP) it is a little bit better, but still not perfect at all. Link to comment
Zauurx
With GentooPLayer, it's more efficient than DietPi .. some rare clicks at 705/768 and not at 384. We have same opinion. I was hoping for total efficiency of Sig, but there is a hardware conception error and no USB3 port to fix the ethernet with a USB adapter. I don't know if I can claim the Allo guarantee ... il Carletto
Is it possible to use Gentooplayer as Naa on Signature? Did ever you tried Ropieee? I'm installing the last one right now Link to comment
il Carletto
Ropieee works great on my setup. Have to test it further, but it seems ok (at 768, Polysinc-xtr) Link to comment
Zauurx
I changed some ethernet parameters on my NUC on Win10 : "Energy efficient ethernet" : enable "Green energy" : enable "Flow control" was always enable... Now, i played Jimmy Smith from one hour withot clicks !! 🙂 ROON + HQP / Hdplex H3-i5 + 400ATX >Gustard A26 (NAA twk) > SQM > Benchmark AHB2 / Recital Audio Illumine HEFA Link to comment
il Carletto
Both Gentooplayer and Ropieee work flawlessly. No click. Thanks Zauurx Link to comment
