help please to make my amp volume suit my speakers

hi everyone, I bought the amazing shl5+ 40th anniversary, and my amp is moonriver 404 with built in dac

 

I love the amp, but if i turn the volume knob from 10 o'clock just a tiny bit the sound become louder than i like, i wish there is a sweet spot volume you can reach with more dial in room on the volume know between 10 o'clock and above. I had a peachtree nove 300 and it was good with volume control dial in, but i did not like the sound compared to moonriver 404. I am so surprised the moonriver 404 is 50 watts, as it sounds so big and powerful, So i would like to get the solution using digital volume control , and kindly if you can tell what settings I should dial in the the app assuming there is a recommended way to it 

 

I use tidal alot, and would like your kind help if you can help in maybe solving the volume issue using an app with tidal integrated  that will not degrade sound quality using the volume control of software

My system sitting room and my whole couch tv setup is on left side of the rectangle, as in the middle of the rectangle we have the dinner table and so on

I have a living room that is rectangle in shape i sit 4 meters from front wall,

left speaker is 1 meter from left wall. and 40 cm from the back wall.
right speaker is 10 meter from the right wall, and 40 cm from the back wall

My listening position is in the center of both speakers , and there is 50 cm between the back of my head and the back wall

It looks like the input sensitivity of the amp is simply too high for your source. One simple fix is to buy a couple of attenuators from your local Amazon source, or through a HIFI dealer if there's one in your area. eg

This appears to be an integrated amplifier with a built in DAC. If this is the case, you will need to use some sort of digital attenuation or speaker attenuation. I'd recommend the former using high quality software. The above devices would only work on analog inputs. Roon has Tidal integration, or use the Tidal app software to reduce the volume at the digital input.
