Problems with playlists in Roon and Linn Kazoo

Am running my music via MacMini with itunes library (quite old version) and streamed thru a Linn Klimax DSM.

I have 3 software apps to playback music: Linn Kazoo, Linn app and Roon

Problem:

-Although all my albums are updated properly, I can only access playlists in itunes via the Roon app, and these playlists are not updating as I add songs.

-I cant find an option to play playlists in the Kazoo or Linn apps

 

Is the problem that I may need to upgrade the MacMini from itunes to Apple Music?

Any thoughts are appreciated.
