Alternative to JRMC?

Recommended Posts

I have been using JRMC to catalogue and play music, primarily in 44.1 FLAC, but ranging up to 128 DSF files, suing one central W-10 system and one remote listening area serviced by a NUC ID.  My needs are repeated and uncomplicated -- basically playing music files exactly as they are recorded; Streaming unimportant at present; current library size: approx. 1 TB on NAS drive.

My question:  Are there software alternatives with simpler user interfaces (fewer technical options) that yield the same (or better) sound quality?

My preference is for a NON-subscription system, but am willing to try alternatives!

Thanks for your guidance.

Matias and C/A,

THANK YOU  for the fast responses.  Can you give me an idea of the advantages/disadvantages of each, compared to jrmc(?).  I assume sound quality is the same for all three of these systems?

Thanks again.

Have you considered Roon, Audirvana, HQ Player?

Hi Guys -- Of course I have seen and read about these systems, but would like some feedback from any of you who have had direct or indirect experience with any of them.
