Budget upgrade to Atmos

Looking to buy a low end Atmos reciever that I will only use with the height speakers.

 

i will use my existing 5.1 receiver for all but the height speakers as it has no Atmos capability.
 

my question has to do with the outputs of my OPPO 205 - I’m going to drive the 5.1 through the analog outputs of the OPPO, and drive the height speakers from the hdmi output to the Atmos receiver. Will these two outputs be in sync?
