OldBigEars
I use an ST i5, which has always been connected directly to my router in our rather warm utility room. No issues until I recently started using DSD upsampling. The STi5 became very hot when upsampling to 256 - so I moved it to another location around the house and simply plugged into an ethernet outlet. BTW I've now learned that DSD 128 is the max recommended for the Sti5 - but it still gets pretty hot. Would you expect the same SQ as compared to plugging into the router? Any advice would be appreciated.
