DSD vs PCM output from Roon to DSD capable DAC

Are you comparing PCM to DSD over DoP?

Or are you comparing DSD converted to PCM (in some way) sent as native DSD to DSD over DoP?

Or something else.

 

Well, I do not do DoP but DSD out directly compared to DSD converted to PCM generally sounds remarkably similar.  I do the latter, however, because I want to apply DSP so, in the end, it is intentionally different.
