Fix For Pops and Cracks USBridge Signature?

For the hell of it I just flashed a fresh install of Moode 7.3 without any other mods and although it took some time to get the usb audio output to work, this 7.3 Moode install plays Qobuz(via Squeezelite) just fine, as well as my own LMS library.  I hope this is helpful to someone else.

I've only had this problem with DSD512 converted files. Currently with Volumio 3.xx I've never had a problem with clicks and pops. With Moode 7.30, currently I'm running with the 64bit experimental kernal and I've upped the audio buffer to 64kb and the output buffer to 256kb. So far only a single click every few minutes.

I had pops and full on dropouts using Qobuz via Squeezelite. Moode 5.3 was underlying it. This was the bespoke version of Moode allo sent me to get my usbridge working(after more than two weeks of tech support) when new. I’m glad 7.3 is trouble free. Still replacing it with a bluesound node though.

I have just bought another usbridge signature and installed volumio V2.917 on it and just like the one I bought a year ago it does pops and cracks. Last time allo adamın made me run a fix but I think the fix might have been changed over time can you plase Providing the right fix for pops and cracks.

BTW I forgot to mention that I tried to install the old fix but it says it can't find the driver so there has to be a new fix for it.

Can you please login to volumio through ssh and share below command result.

 

sudo modinfo ax88179_178a | grep version

I did update the ethernet driver and my allo signature usbbridge worked absolutely without pops and cracks!! I was so happy!!!

 

BUT when i update the volumio software to the newest version all of the pops and cracks are back.... ;(

 

When i try to update the ethernet driver again it cannot find it anymore. Does not excist...

 

Please help! Do i have to have a new patch everytime i update volumio? Or is there a dedicated update/code for this?

Yes!! It worked!! Thank you so much! Attached some pictures of my set running like a ferrari without glitches, pops and crackling! Do i have to perform this kind of updates everytime i update volumio?

Yes if we are updating volumio ,we need to update Asix ethernet driver also.

Hello ok it keeps comin back! I changed my DAC and installed an SMSL M500 MKii and pops and cracks are back also I have hiss while playing DSD. Could you please help? Also I ran the Volumio update so this could be the issue as well.

For updating Asix ethernet driver please following below steps.

 

Login : volumio 

 

Password : volumio 

 
sudo su

 

password : volumio

 

cd /usr/src

And then reboot the player.

After updating to Volumio 3.301 pops and cracks returned is there a new release on the ethernet update? Can you please share the latest link and instructions for v3.301? Thank you.

I have a problem with audio quality when using Tidal in Volumio.

There are crackles especially at the beginning of the tracks.

I know this problem is well known and I tried to do as described: 

 

cd /usr/src

sudo wget http://3.230.113.73:9011/Allocom/USBridgeSig/install.sh

sh install.sh

 

Unfortunately it does not work with the latest version Volumio.

Is there any way to get it working properly?
