Bob Dylan - first album of original songs in eight years.

Recommended Posts

Bob Dylan has announced his first album of original songwriting in eight years.

'Rough and Rowdy Ways' will be released on 19 June.

We already know two tracks from the album.

He's just posted the third one.

I'm really curious what the Nobel laureate has to say in the corona times.

And of course whether there will be some cow, bird, moon, train, motorbike, dog or cat songs on it..

Although IMO there are musicians better suited to performing the American Songbook material, there is no better musician to record a Bob Dylan album than Bob himself.. :)

I think it's yet another very good and at the same time very exceptional BD recording, how do you like it, guys.?

BTW I also think the people who think that America needs being made great again simply haven't heard of Bob Dylan  ;)

It's good. I haven't been able to listen to his recent albums b/c his voice is so shot and croaky when he sings. But this one he sort of talk-sings, so I'm able to enjoy the still excellent songwriting.

Main listening (small home office):

Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments.

Secondary Path: Server with Audiolense RC>RPi4 or analog>Cayin iDAC6 MKII (tube mode) (XLR)>Kii Three .

Bedroom: SBTouch to Cambridge Soundworks Desktop Setup.
Living Room/Kitchen: Ropieee (RPi3b+ with touchscreen) + Schiit Modi3E to a pair of Morel Hogtalare.

All absolute statements about audio are false :)
