Popular Post firedog
In a situation like this, usefulness/useability and product support will probably be more important to you over the long term than anything else. If you think you can get a definitive answer on the forum about which setup will sound better - you won't. And that is assuming there's a big enough difference that you will actually hear it consistently. There may not be. How many people do you think have actually directly compared them? Very very few, for sure. So most opinions you will get will be based on speculation not actual knowledge. No one here can tell you what's better for you, as they don't have your setup or your ears. They are both really good devices and the price is similar. So get the one that will work better for you - considering both UI/software and hardware features, and also product support. If you think you might use the XLR feature of the G2, that would definitely be a factor. Nothing against the Sonore, but it's a very specific one output device. Many people are fine with that. Are you? On the other hand, Sonore is known for good, very personal support. That's a factor in favor of the SE. How important is that to you? If you can't decide, just forget what other people say and go with your "gut". There is no bad choice here. That is true. It's part of their very good service and support. muski and Superdad 2 Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments. Roon can be active and ready to use at the same time as airplay and upnp. No complete reconfiguration and reboot to use different input sources. That was a priority in my decision. AFAIR, the Sonore devices only require a couple of clicks on the web interface to switch input methods. No reboot needed. barrows 1 Main listening (small home office): Main setup: Surge protector +>Isol-8 Mini sub Axis Power Strip/Isolation>QuietPC Low Noise Server>Roon (Audiolense DRC)>Stack Audio Link II>Kii Control>Kii Three (on their own electric circuit) >GIK Room Treatments.
