CM connection with Volt+?

So I've read that the CM can be used with the Volt+ as well as the the Volt+ HAS a CM in it....  I own both the Volt+ as well as the CM.  The CM came with a Molex style connector with two pins connected to a barrel connector for....what?  How would I use this with the Votl+?  I've read elsewhere on here that it go in series with the PSU.  Would that utilize the plug that came with it and if so would I add my own pins to the other half of the connector?  Where would I feed the power to the CM and the CM to the Volt+ PS connector?
