If you are using Roon with the opticalRendu, you shouldn't need LMS.

 

This, unless your DAC has some other input besides USB, which is what the Optical Rendu has. If your DAC does have USB, you can go straight from the Optical Rendu to your DAC via USB and skip an entire step.

LMS is Logitech Media Server.  Your Sonic Transporter, what software is it running? It is capable of running Squeezebox and also running Roon Server, although best not to try both at the same time, if that is even possible.
