That is, a one sided viewpoint on a topic with no disagreement allowed. Anyone is free to disagree in the comments. If you’ve tried an ER and don’t like it, feel free to express yourself. Nobody own objective information. The individuals you mention aren’t prohibited from offering objective information. Excellent. The new sub-forum is a great place for you. Comments that you found informative were hard to come by without the new rules in place. You’d have had to weed through several pages of fighting per comment. MikeyFresh, Currawong, tapatrick and 4 others 4 3 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

It’s about the journey and having fun along the way toward audio bliss. Your angst would better serve the world if it was directed at people selling fake Coronavirus cures. However, it seems you guys are more concerned with, and believe there is an equivalent offense in, the massive thread. Or, are you more focused on saving audiophiles from themselves / spending their own money having fun? 4est, Audiophile Neuroscience, Currawong and 1 other 3 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

Many others predicted that starving egotistical jerks of oxygen would cause them to leave as well. If the new sub-forum caused the bad apples to leave, that’s a great side benefit. Perhaps some people just can’t be civilized and they often use a technical understanding of certain topics to treat others badly. I hope they’re having fun with each other now, but I can’t believe they are. Objective leaning places have existed forever (Hydrogen Audio), but those guys don’t have an interest in those places. The interest is in serving their egos. Bill Brown, Currawong, austinpop and 7 others 8 1 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment

The very problem is so-called objectivists trying to make someone else "feel like a second class citizen" by putting out their beliefs as superior, in a manner akin to a religion. It was especially frustrating in the MQA threads, as if I forgot to bookmark a post with important information, it would take me hours of going through page after page of crap to find it again. Since I've been wanting to make a video about MQA, that alone has put me off. Go to the MQA thread, find a comment by jud, then use the magnifying glass to find all his comments. You will see a few nice recaps that will sum up the whole MQA thing. Currawong 1 Founder of Audiophile Style | My Audio Systems Link to comment
