Digione Signature No Longer on Network After Update

I just received my new Allo Digione Signature player yesterday.  I logged into the device using the web interface and was notified there was an update to DietPi available.  I clicked update and after an hour it hasn't come back online and Roon no longer sees the device.  I'm unable to ping the IP address (static).  How can I get the Digione Signature to come back online?

I did power off the device after about an hour of waiting for it to come back online.  I haven't tried to burn a fresh OS but will give that a try.

If things still don't work, are you able to burn a fresh OS to an SD card?

 

With these types of devices, it's a good idea (in my opinion) to have a card reader for burning and some spare SD cards around.  You can get everything going if there's ever a problem and you can even try out different operating systems.

I found the problem.  When the Digione rebooted after the updating the OS, it wiped out the IP address I had previously set when I changed the settings from dynamic to static.  To get around this I logged into the DigiOne by using http://dietpi.local.  I reset the network settings to STATIC and set the IP address.  Now it is all good.
