Popular Post christopher3393
Wonderful thread idea. Here'a low hanging fruit: the immortal Rogers and Hart song, with just a few of the great versions: The highly transformational doo-wop version! Best not make this a competition 😉 🙃 No worries. Not competing. Just riffing. Do you get the distinction? The "music" in the first video is ambient music by Brian Eno entitled "The Clearing" from the album Ambient 4: On Land. The second video starts with an excerpt of "O Fortuna" from Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. That is followed by French composer Jacques Offenbach's "Galop Infernal" from his operetta Orphée aux Enfers (Orpheus in the Underworld) (1858). It is considered Can-Can music. Both of these pieces are well-known. But if you prefer a more stricto sensu approach, have some nice green cheese 🤪 sphinxsix and Iving 2 Link to comment

Its instrumentation – flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano with standard doublings and in this case with the addition of a vocalist – is an important ensemble in 20th- and 21st-century classical music and is referred to as a Pierrot ensemble."
