UpTone Audio MMK for MacMini 2018

is a new MMK for the current mac mini line planned or is the old one compatible?

Bump. I wanna know this as well. There’s some open box specials at my local bb. Though current mini’s. There’s also older refurbish mini’s at the big A too. But, then are not Apple certified and checked.

Thank you for your interest in our unique Mac mini DC-conversion/Linear Fan Controller Kit (MMK).

 

The MMK is not currently compatible with the new 2018 Mac mini (the "Space Grey" units).  Apple changed several connectors and space is tight in the case.  I may get a 2018 mini in here to figure out what designing a new MMK version would entail, but we are too busy now so I won't even consider doing so until this summer.  As far as I know, nobody has yet offered a conversion kit for the 2018 (though I found one firm erroneously listing their kit as being for 2010-2018).

 

The MMK is fully compatible with Mac mini model years 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2014 (that’s the one just before the new 2018 redesign)--all the thin silver ones.
