AudioDoctor
show me what you've got. SO far I am aware of the Klipsch and Marshall bluetooth speakers. Something similar, no black plastic, etc... I want it to actually look nice as well. Thanks. No electron left behind. Link to comment

AudioDoctor
SO, if we get into the realm of "smart" speakers... Ecobee versus Nest? edit: Both the Klipsch and Marshall also have versions with Google Assistant built in... Nest isn't compatible with HomePod. No electron left behind. Link to comment

AudioDoctor
So I have never actually used Airplay before, is this something that I can direct any audio from an iPhone / iPad or Apple computer to? The Dynaudio thing looks promising, it does not have Bluetooth, however AirPlay can take its place if it's possible to route all audio through it. No electron left behind. Link to comment
AudioDoctor
Thats great and all, but not mentioned in that advertisement is whether or not Airplay is app specific or if its something that ALL apps will take advantage of because its controlled by the iDevice and not up to the app. No electron left behind. Sending music from the iphone/ipad via itunes, roon, Qobuz? you mean, how will my wife use the speaker... Probably not be using Roon, probably Spotify, or Apple Music, the MPR app (which I checked, does work with airplay) or who knows what else she'll use. If I turn it on it will probably just be the MPR app for background music or news. No electron left behind. Link to comment

Get a real retro device and plug one of these in https://www.focal.com/en/home-audio/multimedia-and-wireless/wireless-solution/universal-wireless-receiver-aptx (worked awesome in my 2009 Infiniti) Just a specific room, portability is not required.
