Katana not detected on pi 4

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have an isolator board with a katana dac connected to a Pi 4 and cannot for the life of me get it to see the katana dac under volumio.

When I try to load the driver I get the following error:

allo-katana-codec 1-0030: Failed to read Chip or wrong Chip id: 0

I have tried a number of different jumper configurations and have had no luck so far.  I am running it with an isolator board.

I checked the following directory and can see the katana drivers in there:

/lib/modules/4.19.86-v7+/kernel/sound/soc/bcm/

I have the J30 jumper on and I have J26 connected to 2&3.

If you guys have any ideas please let me know.

Additionally, if I select generic I2S DAC from the configuration screen, then restart volumio, I get this when I run aplay -l:
