Allo Digi One Signature on Rasp Pi 4B and Tidal MQA

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have an Allo Digi One Signitaure with SpdIf output.

I am running Volumio as a server on it. With Volumio it is possible to to run Tidal as an add on. An with Tidal comes MQA masters. The question is is that MQA requires to be sent over USB and the Allo Digi One Signature doesn't have USB but the Rasp Pi does.

My question is, is it possible, with my set up to listen to Tidal and particularly MQA files with an MQA unfolding DAC?

Any solutions out there?

Thanks,

This is not true.  Raw MQA or MQA Core (first unfold) decoded to 88.2/96kHz can be sent over AES / SPDIF / toslink as well if your product / configuration support that.

However, it is true that many MQA DAC only supports MQA decoding via USB.
