Katana - after 10 months no sound anymore

Recommended Posts

Have been running Katana incl Isolator on RPi 3b+ since March 2019 without a single issue.

Powered till last week from 2 separate 2,4A decent USB chargers. Since this Monday from Shanti.

Could hear significant sound quality improvement when switched to Shanti.

Power on sequence by the manual (first MC, then Isolator, Katana's J30 closed.

Today no sound any more.

Basic symptoms same as in several earlier threads here

1. Volumio and moode are fully operational

2. Increasing amplifier's volume to quite high slight artefacts of music can be heard

3. The 1000 uF 35V nichicon elcap is slightly bulged on top  and released a bit of yellow stuff on positive lead, detached from hot glue pad.

4. Slight humming noise from the RPi/Katana stack if powered up

Voltages measured on MC board:

GND-5V -> 4,98 V

GND-4,2V -> 4,23 V

GND - +15V -> +14,81 V

GND - -15V -> -14,95 V

Allo - please advise.

Thanks
