dipole
Just hooked up Signature Rendu to Bryston BDA3 which shows up as Unspecified Device. Choices for Max Sample Rate (DSD) are 64k and 128k. The Bryston appears to be capable of 256k. What is it that imposes the limit of 128k? Link to comment
BCRich
What player ie: software are you using? I also have a BDA-3 and have no issues with DSD 256. I am using Roon and up sampling via HQ Player. If you are streaming from a Mac Mini for instance your player settings would have to be set for Native DSD not DoP. Hope this helps. Curious to know how the SE sounds via the BDA-3? I have both the OM and the Optical Rendu. My System: https://audiophilestyle.com/profile/9256-bcrich/?tab=field_core_pfield_3 Link to comment
dipole
>> your player settings would have to be set for Native DSD not DoP. Yes, thats it...much appreciated! I started using Roon about a week ago and the number of configuration options are still a little overwhelming. I added the BDA3, the SE and some new cables at the same time. Incredible improvement over a BDA1 and micro Rendu. Did you ever have a 4B2 before the 4B3? I’m considering making that change. Thanks for your input! Link to comment
BCRich
You are welcome. I actually went from a 14B2 to the 4B3....Let’s just say I was not dissatisfied in the change, I was actually quite pleased. There is a difference between the squared and the cubed in my opinion. I went from Krell to Bryston, had to have a big amp in my mind. Sold the 14B to help with other expenses. You will like the 4B3..... Enjoy.....Mike My System: https://audiophilestyle.com/profile/9256-bcrich/?tab=field_core_pfield_3 Link to comment
dipole
Funny, I switched from Krell to Bryston as well...in the 80’s. Still have one of D’agostino’s Aragon 4004’s. Thx for your input on the 4B3! Steve Link to comment
