Ok i did it. 😉 Of course, this is only possible with one Keces P8 (20V). It works. Unfortunately I cannot say whether the motherboard accepts the 4 pin CPU LPS but I suspect it will. In a direct, quick listening comparison, however, 2 Keces P8 are still better. The bass is more accentuated and the space opens up better. It actually made that clear. To work out the difference: I tested the combination Taiko Audio EPS (powered by 1 Keces P8 20V) in combination with 1 Keces P8 12V. Instead, you had 2 Keces P8 with 12V each for the CPU EPS and another with 19/20V. That could make all the difference. 👍 Topk and NanoSword 2 Grigg Audio Solutions Owner StreamFidelitys Setup: Sonus Faber Amati Futura | T+A M10 | T+A SDV 3100 HV | fis Audio PC & Server | GigaWatt PC4-EVO+ | JCAT OPTIMO S ATX | FARAD Super10 & Super3 | Keces P8 | Afterdark Buffalo Switch | fis Audio Cables | Solidsteel HJ-3 / HY-A Link to comment

Yes, I have read that too and, due to a lack of personal experience, I cannot comment on it. I operate the Taiko DC-ATX device on a Keces P8 (20V / 8A). Unfortunately I had to find out that the direct supply of the CPU with a second G-Keces (P8 12V / 8A) is still better. The G stands for Dr. Gert Volk, a German engineer who has further smoothed the electricity output. The Taiko DC ATX device only powers the motherboard. Since a very high quality Solarflare X2522 NIC with a high power requirement is connected to the PCIe slot, the supply with Taiko brings a lot. This can look different with an unregulated power supply unit. On the other hand your DC 4 is very good, that's why I recommended Taiko. It took me a while to realize why, but at some point it became obvious. As the NIC was running and radiating heat inside the chassis, it raised the temperature inside my computer, and that easily ruins the sound quality. This is exactly why I designed passive cooling for my Solarflare X2522 NIC. This dissipates the heat to the side panel. Since then I enjoy SFP with fiber transceiver and cable. The gain in SQ is high. littlej0e, MarcelNL, Nenon and 3 others 4 2 Grigg Audio Solutions Owner StreamFidelitys Setup: Sonus Faber Amati Futura | T+A M10 | T+A SDV 3100 HV | fis Audio PC & Server | GigaWatt PC4-EVO+ | JCAT OPTIMO S ATX | FARAD Super10 & Super3 | Keces P8 | Afterdark Buffalo Switch | fis Audio Cables | Solidsteel HJ-3 / HY-A Link to comment

Thank you very much for this. 👍 That made me check the settings in the Solarflare X2522 network adapter. In the process I came across something else. I use Windows 11 Pro for Roon and room acoustics measurements. Roon passes the data natively to HQPlayer, which is on another Audio PC. Windows uses old time internet template with very high latencies. You can read about it here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/networking-blog/tcp-templates-for ... Quote The Datacenter template is designed for low-latency LAN environments and the Internet template is designed for higher latency WAN environments. What is used under Windows, everyone can check by himself with Powershell: Get-NetTCPConnection In my case in the column AppliedSetting was "Internet". From a german developer I found a script to activate the Datacenter template: https://github.com/MysticFoxDE/WINDOWS-OPTIMIZATIONS/blob/main/W10ANDW11 ... From the script I have removed only Flow Control = disabled, because the HQPlayer needs that. Subjectively the album covers of Roon are loaded faster and the SQ has increased. 🍻 ciccio1112 and lwr 2 Grigg Audio Solutions Owner StreamFidelitys Setup: Sonus Faber Amati Futura | T+A M10 | T+A SDV 3100 HV | fis Audio PC & Server | GigaWatt PC4-EVO+ | JCAT OPTIMO S ATX | FARAD Super10 & Super3 | Keces P8 | Afterdark Buffalo Switch | fis Audio Cables | Solidsteel HJ-3 / HY-A Link to comment

Enclosure fans are prescribed by the manufacturer. Your passive cooling system looks very massive. I wouldn't expect any problems. Is there enough thermal paste between the chip and the cooling plate? Taiko Audio also tested Solarflare NICs in the early days. As long as there was no overheating, the sound was very good. As they did not want to use passive cooling, it was not used. For me, the Solarflare X2522 is the best network card you can have in the consumer sector.
