Never been there, but knew a guy who owned a pair (not those Kimo pictured) that he'd received in trade for lighting he'd installed in the mill. Located very close to where I used to live.

I think the craftsmanship and exclusivity are what sells these speakers more than anything. Nothing wrong with that, it's just not my cup of tea.

If you zoom in just to the west of Sydney, we're on the highway between Springwood and Katoomba - it was touch and go last Saturday, stinking hot, with wind gusts - just to the east of Springwood is Penrith, which was the hottest place on earth on that day, 48.9C. It's been a terrible time for a huge number of people - lives have been lost, 1600 homes alone in NSW.

 

The volunteer fire fighters here have been magnificent, and are still working flat out to reduce fuel load, putting in containment lines - milder conditions are forecast for the next week or so, so everyone is crossing their fingers ...

 

The worst, for us, has been terrible smoke haze - 10 times or more of recommended maximum pollution levels.

Thanks. Never heard of them before. I did a quick Google and that model is called OMA Monarch, and costs £60,000. I didn't bother hunting down the centre stack too. Pricy stuff.

I imagine I don't even live in the right neighborhood for OM speakers.  Probably not even the right City.  I am intrigued by the monitor, however, I doubt I could handle the sticker shock.  If I did buy them, I would want to make sure they were well lit.

 

Basically, I would need to design my house around my audio system.

Currently designed around Sylvia and 2 of her friends.  She has her own room with two crates, all season Christmas lights, four beds, and 30 stuffed animals.  No audio system yet.

The black and white ones are know as Landseers, after the 19th painter.  We have 2 of those now, which can result in optical illusions when they start walking around each other.

There is something about this one that I find completely objectionable, besides the price.
