Tekton speakers

What's wrong with the Tektons? They're pretty run of the mill multi-driver looking tower speakers. And once there's a grill on the front, even more so.

I listened to these about 6 months ago, they were fantastic. They look worse in person.

Just as I found many speakers in the "most beautiful" thread to be unappealing or outright ugly, here's one in the "ugly or angry" through that was comfortable and appealing when in my own room.  De gustibus........

If I’m not mistaken, there’s some seriously good engineering in those speakers as well.

Hmm...

What else do you have sitting in that room of yours?

Well, the sound could have biased my opinion of the appearance. 😜

Lots of other stuff.  What is your point?

I am wondering what might compliment those lines?  Post modern, mid modern, or something seemingly at odds that works?

Indeed. I nominated them on the best of the decade topic.

Ah.  Not modern but a mix of traditional and conservative/contemporary.

I have a feeling that many of these speakers look and feel much different in person.

Love him, but I really don't care for Gehry.

Then again, I dig Pollack and Matisse, but find Falling Water a tad offensive to the eye inside and out, so what do I know.

Agreed.  There have been many instances in which I got one impression from the press release and a contrasting one in person.
