Popular Post marce
There has been a lot of research done in this area in regards to noise cancelling headphones (both over ear and in ear) and hearing protection for military personal and other emergency services, where locations of sound sources is critical. The paper is interesting, but not for Friday night consumption... I wonder how much of it would relate to speaker placement and perceived sound field... Some small speakers on stands would provide the kit for a home experiment, interesting things to play with as well as music is those atmospheric CD's you can buy, rain forests, sea side etc. with natural sounds, rain is a good one, get rain sounding like it is raining is a good test of your set up. Sometimes music can be too emotional, if I do critical listening I use music I know but do not like*, as well as "favourites"... *This is basically a lot of my beloveds taste in music, living in a 2 person democracy, I rule... approximately 1 drawer in the wardrobe, 1/3 of the bed, the bills and the right to do as I am told!, so often when enjoying a tune or two, I will get the request just play this! then this... And so my musical appreciation is increased.😫 sandyk and Jud 2 Link to comment
