I thought Fakin' the Funk was an Average White Band album...

All my music is AIFF, which isn’t among the listed formats this works with.

Checking on the Hoffman board, it appears the King Crimson result was not accurate.  Their is someone from France that goes by Plan 9, who looks like they work in the mastering business and made the determination. They briefly explained why the KC stuff was in fact upsampled 16/44 and stated that programs like the "Funk" aren't usually very accurate.  

 

I will follow that one for a bit to see if it is even worth bothering to try the free version.
