Hi!

Any suggestions for a replacement cable for my Beyers 1990 PRO? The idea here is to clearly upgrade the sound quality.

Budget is up to 75usd

Thanks

Do you presently find the sound lacking? What do you hope to achieve from a new cable? I get the impression your current cable isn't broken.

Those headphones have a moderately high impedance of 250 Ω, so effects of cable losses should be minimal.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Well, you are correct, they are not broken and they are the originals ones. I just want to upgrade them so I can have a better soundbexperience. Someone told my about zavfino? Looking for opinions I guess

I have a pair of DT1990s.  They're probably the best sound I've heard from a set of Beyerdynamic cans, but I have not listened to their top of the line models.  The one thing about these cans is that they're not (at all) easy to convert to accept a balanced cable.  In my experience, going from a single ended cable to balanced is the best headphone upgrade (assuming you have a headphone amp with a balanced output).  I think a fancy silver cable like this will only dent your wallet.

A better headphone amp will always get better results than a silver cable.

Thank you Samuel. My DAP is the cowon d2, my amp is ifi scan and the cans as you know are the DT 1990. This is my set and i am quite pleased with it to ve honesto. The thing with this hobby is that you just want more and  more. Probably you are right , there is just no need to have better cables. Think i will keep the original coiled cable. 👍
