Help me with a itch

I’d like to update parts of my system but it’s an itch I’m not sure where to focus.

Source is a bluesound node 2i fed into a zodiac gold dac and Austin threw power amp.

 

Now I could just use the internal dac, but that’s  probably not to the same standard of the Zodiac.

Im currently thinking of new dac and power amp, what do people think is the most important element of a streaming system?

Do you use a subwoofer?

Do you have clean power?

Are you willing to use acoustic treatments?

Are you willing to use DSP to fine tune the system?

 

I ask about DSP because in the right hands, it can be amazing. Here is an image of the frequency response in my listening room when I use DSP tuned by our own Mitch Barnett.

I agree, love trying new speakers, IMHO they make the biggest change to sound, horn, open baffle, electrostatic, ported, sealed... each brings a difference to the music,

P.S. I didn't mention speakers because they were already mentioned and the OP has a good pair :~)

P.S. Speakers are my audiophile obsession, I change them more often than my cables.

I would say a sub (preferably stereo) with dsp as the Focal may lack some low bass.

Second, the source, I am amazed by how much the source can influence the sound.
