Schiit Lyr 3 w/Mulbit not visible to Mac OS X with Uptone Regen in the chain

Hoping the title explains the issue...

 

If I disconnect the Uptone Audio Regen, the Lyr 3 appears in the OS. I can then add the Regen back into the chain, and everything is fine for the listening session. Once I power the computer down, the problem re-appears.

 

Lyr 3 Multibit --> Uptone Audio Regen ---> Audioquest Forest --> Audirvana on Mac OS X

I have a similar problem sometimes with my ISO Regen/Yggy combo. Unplugging the Regen from the DAC and repluggjng it often fixes the problem. If that doesn't work, powering down the Regen (unplugging the DC power cable) and repowering it will usually fix it. When those two measures fail, I also power cycle the DAC combined with doing both of the above a second time. 90% of the time, one of these three approaches fixes the problem. In those rare instances where this doesn't do the job, I have also restarted my Mac Mini; however, from your signature line, that doesn't seem directly relevant to you.
