Popular Post clipper
I use GentooPlayer with the Allo USBridge Signature. It’s the best sounding OS I have tried on the Allo devices. The developer is planning to release (soon, I think) a version that’s fully compatible with the USBridge Signature. I have been using a test version, and it has been flawless. I run Roon on a “control pc” machine and output to Squeezelite running on the USBridge Signature. (In Roon, go to Settings, Setup to Enable Squeezebox Support, and make sure Logitech Media Server is not running on your network). To me, this sounds better than anything else I've tried. Qobuz, Tidal, etc. work perfectly. Here are the audio software choices currently available in GentooPlayer: For tweaking, there are currently 10 RealTime and 10 standard kernels to choose from. There are 6 profiles to choose from, and a Ramdisk mode, which I think makes a nice difference. Once the new version is released, I will try to post a “tutorial” with pictures, as suggested by feelingears. uniquesnowflake, matthias, blueninjasix and 4 others 5 2 Link to comment

This made me curious since I go way back with LMS, even though I don't really use it much now. Anyway, it looks like ickStream was discontinued (as you said), but the LMS TIdal app works ok. You have to set it up at mysqueezebox.com and input your Tidal credentials (account settings tab). Then you have to enable it and set it to display on your player's home menu (player settings tab). I'm listening to it now that way (with squeezelite running on the USBridge Signature) and it sounds good. For your player: Gavin1977 1 Link to comment
